Lande&#8217;s talk, &#8220;<em>Adaptation to an extraordinary environment by evolution of phenotypic plasticity and genetic assimilation<\/em>,&#8221; filled a packed classroom. Lande was a NIMBioS Postdoctoral Fellows Invited Distinguished Visitor.
