Samiha Ahsan and Ashley Parks, both of <a href=\"http:\/\/highschool.ortn.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Oak Ridge High School<\/a>, share the senior level prize for their project &#8220;Mathematical Modeling of the Diffusion of Cells Through Arterial Walls.&#8221; Ahsan became interested in the project because of her interest in life science, and Parks because of her interest in mathematics.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1118\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nimbios.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/jr_winner_with_project.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1118\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1118\" title=\"jr_winner_with_project\" src=\"https:\/\/legacy.nimbios.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/jr_winner_with_project-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/legacy.nimbios.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/jr_winner_with_project-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/legacy.nimbios.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/jr_winner_with_project-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1118\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lily Turski (left), junior level prize winner, poses with her project &quot;Sweating Like a Horse&quot; and Kelly Sturner<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The junior level prize went to Lily Turaski of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bhea.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">Blount Home Education Association<\/a> for her project &#8220;Sweating Like a Horse&#8221;, where she explored her question of whether horses of darker colors sweated more in the sun to control their body temperature.
