Andress and Toth&#8217;s project, &#8220;Creating a Higher Efficiency Machine Learning for the Development of Cancer Treatment Drugs,&#8221; devised a computational model for accurately and efficiently predicting second-site mutations that reactivate an important cancer-preventing protein.<\/p>\n<p>NIMBioS graduate students <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nimbios.org\/personnel\/gras\" target=\"_blank\">Marco Martinez<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/site\/gdiacona\/home\" target=\"_blank\">Gwen Iacona<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nimbios.org\/personnel\/gras\" target=\"_blank\">Eric Numfor<\/a> served as judges along with <a href=\"w.nimbios.org\/personnel\/staff\" target=\"_blank\">Kelly Sturner<\/a>, Education &amp; Outreach Coordinator and <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nimbios.org\/personnel\/dir_lenhart\" target=\"_blank\">Suzanne Lenhart<\/a>, Associate Director for Education &amp; Outreach.
