The Division produces about 60-70 of reports each year, representing the most authoritative source of scientific and technical information for the nation. One of the most recent reports on which Dr. Gross helped author is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nap.edu\/catalog.php?record_id=12764\" target=\"_blank\">A New Biology for the 21st Century<\/a>, which calls for a greater integration within biology and closer collaboration with physical, computational, and earth scientists, mathematicians and engineers to find solutions to four key societal needs: sustainable food production, ecosystem restoration, optimized biofuel production, and improvement in human health. Dr. Gross is also the Board liaison to Academies&#8217; <a href=\"http:\/\/dels-old.nas.edu\/envirohealth\/\" target=\"_blank\">Standing Committee on Use of Emerging Science for Environmental Health Decisions<\/a>.
