Project Title: Immune response and drug resistance in granuloma-driven vector-borne diseases: Cases of visceral leishmaniasis and malaria
As a NIMBioS postdoctoral fellow, Nourridine Siewe (Mathematics, Howard Univ., 2016) developed mathematical models of visceral leishmaniasis and malaria co-infection to improve the diagnosis and treatment process. After completing his fellowship, Nourridine accepted a postdoctoral fellowship in computer science at the University of British Columbia's Okanagan campus.
