Ana was the Database Administrator and Information Specialist at the National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis (NIMBioS) and the National Institute for STEM Evaluation and Research (NISER). She was project manager on the successful design of a new database system for NIMBioS, and worked to develop the brand identity and marketing campaigns for NISER.

She actively volunteered in the local community, having previously overseen a committee of four volunteers in her role as VP of Communications for the Knoxville Chapter of the American Marketing Association (2015-2016), and as Co-Director of communications for the local chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (2013-2015).

In her spare time, she plays soccer, ice skates, occasionally bikes to work, and reads a lot. She's a big believer in living a sustainable life. She likes her coffee black, wine red, beer hoppy, skies sunny, and apartment clean. She's a major Game of Thrones fan. Her goal is to retire to a house on the beach.
