Spatial Analysis Lab at NIMBioS: Resources

The NIMBioS Spatial Analysis Lab (SAL) is centrally located on the University of Tennessee-Knoxville campus in the NIMBioS facilities in the Philander P. Claxton Education Building, 1122 Volunteer Boulevard. SAL is located in Room 123 on the first (ground-level) floor of Claxton.

Analytical Lab Capabilities

Field Instrumentation

Remote Pilot Certification. New rules for piloting UAS, requiring UAS users to pass an aeronautical knowledge test, were released in August 2016 by the Federal Aviation Administration. Lab personnel have obtained the remote pilot certification to assist lab users with UAS data collection.
